The Le Creuset coastal blue kettle was love at first sight and it just looks great on the stove top. The soft tone boiling point whistle puts a smile on my face and the generous water capacity means fewer fill up trips to the sink.
I fill the Le Creuset kettle from the sink each evening and place on the large stove element in readiness for the morning. The night-before plan produces a super-fast boil time, and this works really well for my super busy family.
The light weight, metal, Le Creuset kettle is so much quieter than the traditional electric jugs I have used over the years, the mini flip safety lever on the kettle is a bonus, it holds the heat much longer than a plastic jug, and the stove top kettle frees up the kitchen benchtop space previously set aside for the electric jug.
